Individual sessions with one of our academic coaches gives you the opportunity to work one-on-one to help you reach your learning & life goals.

​Academic peer coaches are here to support you in your academic journey, helping with things like academic skill building, time management, navigating financial aid or scholarships, financial literacy questions, working on life balance and health and wellness, and much more! Appointments are available for: 

• Academic coaching

• Financial Aid & Scholarship

• Mentoring

• Student Support

• Technology Assistance

Academic coaches are not tutors, and should not be booked for help with specific school subjects or assignments. 

Hoʻā works a little differently than scheduling a session with a tutor. To book an appointment with a Hoʻā academic coach: 

1. Login to STAR & choose KAP Academic Coach Hoʻa under Tutoring, Tech & Learning Centers. 

2. Select an Academic Coach to see their schedule (or select all coaches). 

3. Choose a session time & select your Appointment Reason. 

4. In the Appointment Comment, indicate the type of help you need.
